WHERE BIG FUTURES BEGIN AT HOME
Nurturing hearts and expanding minds in Pennsauken
Thank You For Stopping By
Welcome to Mrs. Rosie’s Childcare Service, Pennsauken’s premier home-based childcare and early learning boutique. We believe that the comfort of a home environment, combined with a rigorous, advanced curriculum, creates the perfect “soil” for your child to grow. Unlike traditional daycare, we offer a 360-degree approach to development that covers Personal Care, Advanced Academics, and Essential Life Skills.
From the first precious months of infancy to the independent years of pre-adolescence (Birth to 12 Years), we provide a seamless continuum of care. Our mission is simple: to treat every child like family while preparing them for the world like scholars.
Our Core Pillars
Personalized Care: With lower ratios than large centers, your child receives the one-on-one “snuggle time” and emotional attunement they need to feel safe and confident.
Advanced Learning: We don’t just “watch” children; we engage them. Following a curriculum inspired by Academic Explorers, we introduce STEAM, literacy, and critical thinking early.
Life Skills: We teach the “how-to” of life—from tying shoes and table manners to emotional regulation and financial literacy basics for our older explorers.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and family-like environment where children can grow, thrive, and learn. We focus on early literacy and STEAM experiences to spark curiosity and creativity, while supporting parents with reliable care—before and after school, on weekends, and overnight.
We are a 501c3 organization providing innovative, forward thinking educational approaches that make a positive difference in the lives of the children and families we serve.
Inspired by the love and generosity of Rosie L. Townsend-Cook, we treat every child as our own and aim to make families’ lives a little easier every day.

Our Specialities
Activities
Our day is all about “purposeful play” that keeps kids excited to learn while sticking to the New Jersey Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards. We kick things off with a cozy “Circle Time” for songs and stories, then dive into hands-on activities where kids can explore everything from art to building blocks at their own pace. We make sure to get outside for at least an hour of fresh air and active play every day—just like the NJ Department of Health recommends—to keep those growing bodies moving. Between family-style meals that teach independence and quiet rest periods that follow state safety guidelines, our routine is designed to feel like a “home away from home” where every child can grow, learn, and just be a kid.
Qualified To Educate
Our expertise is built on a foundation of rigorous, state-mandated professional development that meets the 2026 New Jersey Family Child Care (FCC) registration standards. Our staff completes 18 hours of comprehensive pre-service training covering essential areas like child growth, positive discipline, and NJ’s health and sanitation codes. Beyond the basics, we are deeply committed to the New Jersey First Steps Infant/Toddler Specialist Initiative, which provides us with advanced coaching in brain development and research-based strategies for our youngest learners. With up-to-date certifications in Infant and Child CPR and First Aid, plus 20 hours of ongoing professional development every three years, we ensure that our care isn’t just warm and nurturing—it’s informed by the latest state standards for safety and excellence.
Always Professional
At Mom Rosie’s, our team is led by highly qualified professionals who bring over three decades of combined experience to early childhood education. Our Executive Director, Nicole Hall, is a seasoned educator and former school principal with 16 years of expertise, specializing in literacy and STEAM to ensure every child has a strong academic start. Working alongside her is Annetta Anderson, a dedicated early childhood educator with 16 years of experience who is known for her warm, individualized approach to student success. Together, our staff blends professional school-leadership standards with the nurturing care of a home environment, meeting all New Jersey state requirements for background checks and safety training to provide your family with elite, trustworthy care.
Safety First
We uphold the highest standards of protection by strictly adhering to the New Jersey Manual of Requirements for Family Child Care Registration, ensuring our home-based environment is both a sanctuary and a center of excellence. Our safety infrastructure includes 2026-standard surveillance and emergency alert systems, hardware-mounted safety gates, and child-proofed zones that meet rigorous state health and fire codes. Every adult in our home has cleared comprehensive New Jersey CARI (Child Abuse Record Information) and criminal background checks, while our staff maintains current, state-approved certifications in Infant and Child CPR and First Aid. By combining these proactive security measures with small group sizes for constant, active supervision, we provide New Jersey families with the absolute peace of mind that their children are safe, secure, and nurtured in a professionally vetted environment.
